When I told you that I loved you
it was not a request
to be checked

it was a notification
of the situation
presently and future past

I had no choice
my heart is gone and the feelings are strong
and they've been here long

There is no transaction here
no lines to underline
and signatures to sign

It is not necessary that you be with me
so long as you are happy
I won't lie that I'm a selfish being
who wants to be the one you are seeing

and I won't lie that you are perfect
but you are perfect enough for me

and if you happen to feel the same way
then my life
is complete
